- Release the toner cartridge from the drum using the lock lever.
- Unpack your new toner cartridge, ensuring you remove the toner’s protective cartridge.
- Put your new cartridge in the drum, ensuring your insert the cartridge firmly until you hear it lock in place with a click.
- Clean the corona wire inside the drum – you can do this by sliding the tab on the drum to the left and right several times. Ensure that the tab is returned to its home position after this, theis position is marked by an arrow.
- Place the drum unit back into your printer and close the cover.
Your printer should now recognise the new toner cartridge and you’ll be ready to print. It’s important to keep your printer turned on during this process and leave the power on until the new toner cartridge is recognised. If you turn your printer off at any point during this process, you may face printing delays due to issues with your printer recognising the new cartridge.
