The compact size of the ADS-1700W makes it ideal when desk space is limited. With wireless connectivity, you can put the scanner anywhere in the home or office, and connect to it using your mobile phone or tablet. 

Make this document scanner even easier to use by creating up to 20 custom shortcuts for your frequent scan-to destinations. The shortcuts can be added to the touch screen so it's easy and intuitive to use.  

The ADS-1700W comes with powerful paper-handling. With a sheetfed Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), 2-sided documents to multi-page contracts and plastic ID cards, can all be scanned quickly and easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gut mit einigen Schwächen Eigentlich wäre das ein prima Gerät, aber es gibt ein paar Details, die mir die Freude etwas verderben. Am meisten stört mich, dass der Papiereinzug bei sehr schmalem Papier wie Kassenzetteln oder sehr dünnem Papier, wie eben Kassenzetteln, oft Probleme hat, das Papier zu erfassen oder überhaupt zu erkennen. Zwei andere Punkte sind, dass man merkt, dass Brother das Gerät jetzt auch nicht gerade mit größtem Elan weiterentwickelt. Es gibt zum Upload nur die Protokolle SMB und (s)FTP, aber SMB ist overkill (und gerade wurde in der c't beschrieben, dass es mit Synology-NAS nicht funktioniere, aber auch keine Fehlermeldung gebe) und FTP ist uralt, problematisch, unsicher und tot. Eigentlich müsste man REST/ HTTP PUT oder WEBDAV unterstützen, aber da hat Brother wohl länger nichts mehr weiterentwickelt. Und ein micro-USB-Stecker ist jetzt auch nicht gerade aktuell. USB-C ist da eigentlich standard. Und bei der Gelegenheit wäre auch ein zweiter USB-C für die Stromversorgung statt Hohlbuchse auch besser. Also: An sich schon ein gutes und wertiges Gerät, aber stiefmütterlich gepflegt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scans, but pulls multiple pages through. Scanner scans, but scans at a moderate pace. Worst thing about this scanner is that it pulls multiple pages through at a time. It can take me a solid hour to scan a loan packet because I have to sit there and watch it and count pages and then verify that all pages are there or do single or max 5 pages at a time to just make sure that it doesn't pull multiple pages through at once.
