Car dealership reception

Brother's wireless printer technology makes queuing a thing of the past for car dealerships

imageHOLDERS design and manufacture innovative point-of-sale solutions that help businesses engage with customers and drive sales. It was challenged to create a stylish and cost-effective express check-in system for motorists dropping off their cars to be serviced at busy car dealerships, to help cut waiting times and improve the overall customer experience.

Time-saving technology means customers don’t have to queue

imageHOLDERS developed a secure, self-service kiosk solution incorporating Brother’s wireless thermal label printer, which enables customers to avoid queuing. The QL-720NW automatically prints a receipt and label unique to the customer. The keys are then deposited in a labelled envelope inside a secure drop box. When returning to collect their car, the customer exchanges the receipt for the correct key, saving time and helping to eliminate mistakes.

Trial to be rolled out nationwide after immediate success

Customer wait times were immediately slashed to just one minute when the service was trialled at Vauxhall, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and Fiat locations across the UK. An improved and efficient service meant staff had more time to focus on the job at hand ensuring an enhanced customer experience and improved staff satisfaction.
