  5. Brother UK has secured the PC Pro ‘Best Printer Manufacturer’ award for a tenth consecutive year

Brother UK marks a decade of being voted best printer manufacturer by PC Pro readers

Brother UK has secured the PC Pro ‘Best Printer Manufacturer’ award for a tenth consecutive year.

The business technology and solutions provider continued to be the standout brand in the printer category, outperforming the likes of Epson, Xerox, Canon and HP, with an overall score of 90%. It was also the top brand for loyalty receiving a buy-again score of 95%.

The printer category is judged on the results of a three-month survey, where 9,000 PC Pro readers rated products and services released in the last 12 months on a range of criteria from quality to value.

Brother UK received a print quality score of 92%, 7 points higher than highly commended Epson, with ratings remaining high for reliability (93%), value of products and running costs (89%) and customer support (73%).

This success follows the launch of Brother UK’s flagship professional colour laser range at the end of 2022, designed to extend the business’ managed print services (MPS) offering. As well as the new flagship range, the technology and solutions provider has also launched two first-to-market printers, the MFC-J6959DW and DCP-J1800DW, this year.

The MFC-J6959DW joins the business’ flagship X-Series SMB inkjet range, with a unique automatic cutting tool for producing photographic-quality banners and posters of up to 2.7m in length. Meanwhile, the DCP-J1800DW is a sister model to Brother’s A4 mini regular inkjet series which launched last year and includes an automatic guillotine that enables users to print in A5 without needing pre-cut paper.

Terry Caulfield, chief commercial officer at Brother UK, said: “The adoption of hybrid and flexible working over the past few years has seen an industry shift in demand towards products and services that can support customers in any setting. Winning this award for the tenth year in a row is a testament to our understanding of customers’ changing needs, year after year, helping them overcome challenges and get ahead in the modern workplace.

“One of the biggest changes we’ve seen in recent years is increasing demand for print-as-a-service, and we expect to see this growth continue. The new models in our flagship professional colour laser range extend our offering to compete at the top-end of the market, which coupled with our recently launched MPS campaign, make printing simple for businesses of all sizes.”
