Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brilliant piece of kit, shame about the software It's a great label printer, especially as it allows you to print labels of various lengths. Very quick too. Especially for the price. But... The software to produce the labels does require you have either a degree in Brother Label Design or you are prepared to spend ages/hours getting used to the most awkward system ever. This might be because I'm using it on a Mac, but I don't think so. Haven't worked out still how to import addresses etc to produce labels 'easily' - my friend has the same printer. He can do this, but when I asked him how to set that up, he said 'hmmm - I think it was more by luck, I just hope every time that it will do it.'

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother QL-560 Label Printer This is an excellent label printer with a small footprint and very quick & easy to use. You can change label sizes on the fly in seconds- Simply lift one cartridge out & pop another one in. You can import labels, pictures, etc as .jpg's or create your own in the bundled software. As it's a thermal printer, you never need ink for it, either. One of the best things I ever bought... The print quality is excellent with sharp text right down to 4pt. My only gripe is that it's only black on white, or black on flourescent yellow or salmon... I would like to see other coloured backgrounds available, like pastel green, blue, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase! I purchased this product from Staples at a very cheap price and i'm glad i did. Previously, i had the QL-500 which i was happy with so this one is a step-up with more features. The desktop software is nice to use and with a bit of trial and error you will soon navigate your way around with ease. The machine itself is ergonomically designed and is pleasing to the eye. It is very easy to load the labels and comes supplied with some shipping sized continuous label...i would have preferred some standard address labels to get me started. Software updates could be simpler instead of taking you to Brother website.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Speedy, versatile, with a quality print The printer and the two software packages are easy to set up with a PC. The print quality and speed of printing surpassed my expectations and is especially useful with the auto-cutter. I bought the printer mainly for address type labeling but with the 62mm wide 'continuous' roll supplied I have been using it for making signs, which I never thought it would be capable of doing, and I have also found it useful for making ad-hoc business cards. The two software packages are easy to use and offer plenty of proforma examples to work from, including lots of clip-arts and font styles. I wish I would have bought a label printer of this quality years ago; I would have saved myself some money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother QL-560 - Great for my business and more ... I bought this label printer after I started my own web-based store and wanted something that would churn out address labels for me - something that would integrate with my systems easily. It couldn't have been more simple. I connected it up, downloaded the software (which is very intuitive) and was off and running in no time. I was also delighted to discover that it does much more than mere address labels .. I was able to attach small but legible labels - including my logo - to my products prior to despatch and create many more labels for other business use via the pre-loaded templates. This product has been extremely well thought out, simple to use and extremely useful in both business AND domestic use. Excellent !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rapid labeleing I purchased the QL560 from Staples however it had to go back as the lid switch did not operate and we could not use the unit, there was no stock left of the ql560 so we ended up with the QL570 instead Excellent labler software is fairly easy to use but could do with a few other short cuts incoroperated into it for formatting label layouts once you have started a layout rather than having to start again which is sometimes easier. once label is set up quick and easy to print and change label media.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Useful & easy to use I recently purchased the Brother QL-560 label printer and I have to say that I am starting to wonder how I ever did without it. I purchased it to print a specific label for a particular need. The software is so easy to use however, and the printer a joy to use, that I have subsequently found myself printing labels for the office, the workshop and the warehouse. Best of all they all give a professional look that is so repeatable with just a click or two. Great purchase I would definitely recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BROTHER QL-560 EXCELS For more years than I care to remember I used another (well known) manufacturer of label printers but, when moving into Windows 7, I needed to go for a replacement. Having carefully researched the alternatives I am more than content that I made the right choice. The Brother has amazed me with its versatility and accuracy, ease of loading differing label sizes, and suitability for both mailing dozens involved with voluntary organisations and domestic requirements. It looks good, too.
