The Christie Charity

Our team raised an impressive £1,052 for The Christie Charity in June. Everyone pulled together for a fantastic few days of activity – from a pub quiz to a Colour Obstacle Rush – to raise vital funds for cancer care and research. The activity is part of our Golden Ring Project, established in 2011 to encourage charity events across Brother, on a global scale, to support cancer patients.

Conservation day

In June, our team volunteered at a Tameside conservation day. The days are designed to benefit local greenspaces for the community and for wildlife – with tasks ranging from cutting back vegetation to pond clearing. Days like these are aligned with our biodiversity conservation activity as part of our 2030 environmental vision.

Work experience

We’re delighted to have kicked off our Work Experience Education Support Programme, after a three-year, pandemic-enforced absence. We’re very proud to offer students from the local community the opportunity to experience the world of work for the first time – giving them the opportunity to expand on their communication and networking skills, gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience, test out different roles to establish what suits them, and improve their CV.

It was our pleasure to welcome Jack and Jamie from Audenshaw School to our finance and catering teams in early June, and Izzy – an undergraduate student – to our marketing team, later in the month.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve become one of the 12 founding members of the Boss Business Supplies Charity

Any employee of Brother UK, past or present, with at least two years of employment in the business supplies industry, can now apply to the charity for financial help if they’re ever in need.

The charity can grant up to £4k to any individual for an item or grant a quarterly assistance payment of up to £1,050 – or both if required.

Grants can be for almost anything, including: help for assisted living, short-term financial hardship grants and to purchase a piece of equipment in the case of mobility issues.

Three of our rising stars attended the Boss Leaders of the Future Conference last week

The Conference is designed to empower ambitious individuals in the business supplies industry to become more self-aware and take ownership of their career path and personal growth.

Our digital marketing assistance, digital marketing executive and social media executive heard from a keynote speaker and took part in interactive round table sessions with industry leaders – where they learned about different tools and techniques to stay at the top of their game throughout their professional journey.

Our Customers

Customers are the life blood of any business. Serving our customers well is vitally important to maintaining and growing our sales each year. This is achieved by delivering the best products and services we can.

Our customers fall into two groups, the end user who ultimately buys and uses our products and the channel customer who provides the means of getting our products to them. No matter what kind of customer we deal with though, we pride ourselves in providing the highest standard of service and support in the business.
