Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, quick and efficient I should have done this a long time ago. Colour ink cartridge printers are okay, but they eat ink and if you don't use them for a while they dry up. It then takes another expensive replacement cartridge or cartridges to clean it if it's not ruined! The laser jet may only be B&W but how often do you need colour? It doesn't run dry and is long lasting, 1000 prints! It is so quick and easy to set up and is rapid at printing compared to ink jets! If you fit into my catagory, you won't go wrong.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from USB lead - too much to ask? For a printer which ONLY works via USB, I'd expect one to be supplied... well its not. Rather comically, my old "Wifi" Kodak Ink Jet actually did, so I dug that out. You may not be so lucky! The instructions make no mention of USB cables connecting to your PC, just a picture of the printer with an arrow "magically" connecting it to a PC if you turn them both on and plug the printer into a European power outlet... Sounds like a Boeing 474 when printing, but so far the output has been good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Laser Printer for printed circuits Excellent printer, even comes with a toner cartridge, I bought this to make printed circuits via toner transfer, It works really well when using a laminater as the heat source. my laminater has a foil setting which is a hotter setting. The printer has a density setting which enables higher contrast. I use glossy magazine paper in the transfer process.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple effective printer Our inkjet printer gave up the ghost a few months ago. However, that was a bit of a releif as I was becoming fed up of running out of one ink colour or the other every couple of weeks. This is simple to set up. Comes with a toner cartidge supplied. It has a double sided printing option too, which is helpful. We mainly use it for our daughter to print her homework. It's only B&W. I'm sure she would prefer to produce pink and fluffy assignments, but hey, you can't have everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Misleading Purchased this printer due to an urgent need and price got was right. After reading though the spec and some of the reviews it seemed to be a steal at the price. However on setting the printer up you need an additional cable which wasn't supplied nor mentioned in the description. This left me very annoyed and the fact I couldn't use for the urgent need until I purchased the lead

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ran out of ink after just 100 copies. Really pleased with speed and ease of printing but I read reviews stating that the cartridge would produce 1000+ copies before it would need replacing. Instead just one print job cost me 40p per copy. That's 10 times the cost of a photocopy facility at the local library! Shall be taking it back. Bought it for economy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new Printer looks smart & works very well I have had a laser mono printer for a number of years (a Samsung which was not new when I got it). On a tight budget, I chose the Brother HL-1112 for three reasons. 1: It looks good 2:The cartridges are available cheaply 3: It was in stock to collect from my local shop. One minor niggle was the fact that there is no dust cover supplied for the paper tray, but 5 minutes with a small hacksaw and a smoothing file and I modified the old one to fit. This allows the paper to sit flat stay clean.
