Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great home use laser printer and copier Bought this unit to replace my old Brother printer that I had for 10 years. So far I'm definitely not disappointed. Print quality is great even in Toner save mode, and it's quick and extremely quiet. Built in Duplex unit is also very useful for saving paper. The output tray is a little small, and replacement toners are a little pricey, but I'll live with that as I dont tend to print massive documents and by double siding the print the tray hasnt filled up yet.. I have it plugged into my router as a central print server and it prints from all my PCs and laptops, both Windows and Linux, so cant fault that either. Definitely recommend this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent photocopier! My brilliant A4 PC25 photocopier died years ago - so I have long since looked in vain for a decent hassle free replacement with minimum service costs. This Brother DCPL2500D perfectly does the job: a completely independent, stand-alone photocopier with enlargement/reduction, double sided etc and excellent print quality with minimum warm up time. Hassle free cartridge and drum exchange - just like the old PC25. The lack of an illuminated LCD control panel however is pain in the bum! Not yet bothered with connecting to a PC as all my PCs are DOS based and go direct to my existing laser printers...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very economical! I bought this as I had gotten fed up with my colour ink printer - it was ridiculously expensive to have to keep buying cartridges every so often. It would be cheaper to buy a new printer at an introductory price instead .... After some online research I found this and so far I am very pleased. It is sensibly priced, prints very quickly and scanning/ copying works very well too. It is fairly big and heavy, but I am more than happy with it. Highly recommended if you need to print fairly often, mostly in black / white, as the savings you make not having to buy ink cartridges mean you soon have paid for the printer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Printer Nice printer, only had it for two months but so far so good.I have one criticism though and that is the LCD window, impossible for me to see the words without holding a torch to it,very bad design fault, should have a built in back light

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother Printers Always Reliable I always have Brother printers as they tend to be easy to use, any issues are quickly solved, the print quality is good and they are economical to run. This printer has a copy/scan option - at the moment there doesn't seem to be an option to scan multiple pages and have them as 1 document. Unless I just haven't located it yet!! Also you do need to press the standby button to take it out of sleep mode if you don't print for a while. It holds a decent amount of paper in it so I don't have to refill daily and it prints quite quickly and isn't overly noisy - pleased with my choice so far

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good & Robust This is the second Brother printer of this kind that I've bought for my motor club. Not a huge overall volume, but when it is used it is fairly constant all day. Long period each month of just sitting in a cold room, but it wakes up and gives great copy and great performance. Only had to buy this one because during one of the dormant periods a roof leaked on to it otherwise the previous one would still be going strong after 4 years. I can recommend as a good buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother DCPL2500D I bought this printer because I was tired of wasting ink cleaning heads on my last two inkjet printers. Though this model is classed as 'budget' it does everything well. If you don't need colour printing, just a straightforward black printer/copier/scanner I can recommend this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all round printer and scanner I purchased this Laser printer to replace my older Brother that I had owned for six years. I absolutely love these printers and it is a good all rounder for a small office. The scan facility is easy to use and the printer, prints quickly. My only gripe if I was to make one, it goes into "sleep" mode quite quickly to save on electricity but I keep forgetting to wake it up and therefore items dont print straight away. Also the first few pages of the day, the printer is pretty noisy then it settles down. Toner replacement costs are normal for this type of machine and I would give it 9/10. It was cheaper via Amazon but decided to give the local Brother stockists the order therefore paid a little of the odds for it. Shop around.
