DCP1610W is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value all round for price For the price this is a good quality product providing an easy to install multifunction laser printer + scanner. The WiFi ability adds the network printer that some will desire. Easy to use with both Windows 10 and a standard tablet in my case. Print quality and time to achieve is good a basic forprinter of this type. Ideal for the user who wants occasional good quality printing and scanning abilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple set up on wifi Very happy with my first laser printer. If you are switching from an ink jet printer and are an infrequent or regular user, this product is for you. Save money on your printing costs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother DCP-1610W This Laser printer is great value for money, if you need a printer that prints black and white, and is also a scanner. It is easy to use with the Brother IPrint&Scan application. My wife and I use it to print and scan, not only from our IPad but it also enables us to print or scan in B/W from both my wife's Apple phone and my Samsung android phone. 10/10. We are very well pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value for the Money The second Brother laser printer I have owned. Very easy to set up and quality of print is excellent. Still need to get to know all features but would recommend to anyone looking for a good, efficient printer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New acquistion so limited experience, It appears to work fine. It is quite light in weight. The paper handling is minimalised but appears to be functional, The electrical cord to the plug is considerably too short in my domestic situation. That is especially so since one is advised not to use an extension.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy setup I have been using this for a few weeks now and so far have not had any issues with it. Putting in the WiFi password was a bit fiddly but there is a WPS option (if your router supports it). My iMac connected to it no problem, although I already had the Brother software installed for use with another Brother printer. It does not support AirPrint for printing from iPads but you can download a free app which allows you to print off web pages and has some options for printing documents from within the app too. I haven't tested printing from an iPad yet but scanning works fine. You have to open the front panel to load the paper which increases the footprint size, even though there is quite a large indentation at the back of the printer which could have been used if designed differently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just works ! Easy to set up and its first task was to print out 800 pages which it did with ease. It slowed down towards the end of the print but it did the job. Great value for money and I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vast improvement from Ink Jet I have only been using this for a month or two, but so far I'm very satisfied. Print quality is excellent, first copy generation is a tad slow but it is fast once it prints subsequent pages. It is a little loud in use, and it stands 10" tall but they are about the only slight negatives. Why did I struggle to get decent print quality from inkjets for all those years? Certainly I would never go back, not if I can buy one of these for around £80. One thing it could do with is some sort of indicator to tell you how many pages you have used to date and how many more you can expect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A neat all-in-one printer This is my second Brother printer and I've been very happy with it so far – easy to set up, wireless facility a bonus, and prints/scans/photocopies as described without taking up too much room on the desk. The only drawback is the small and rather indistinct digital display, which I find hard to read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is easy to use The printer was no problem to install, using a wifi connection. Printing and copying is very quick and straightforward, though it took me a while to work out how to enlarge or reduce copies. It seems good value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money home-office printer I have bought two of these printers and they represent excellent value for money. I bought if because of its small footprint (perfect for a small home/office), its WiFi connection, reliability of Brother and its price. The only problem I have had was after downloading the latest Brother software upgrade to my Mac which then showed the cartridge out of ink (it definitely was not). The Brother website recommended a firmware upgrade which unfortunately froze 90% of the way through being installed into the printer and left the printer completely unresponsive. I was happy enough with the first printer to buy another one but, whatever happens, I will NOT be upgrading the firmware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good choice We changed from an inkjet as we were always having to change the cartridges that cost a fortune on our old HP printer .We were fed up with the updates and constant problems with the print heads drying out. We read the online reviews and this came out on top so we decided to buy as we didn't need colour at home. It was easy to install with windows 10 a few teething problems with our Windows 7 machine but both now work on WIFI . So far its as good as promised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic results for such a reasonably priced printer I had an HP inkjet previously - even before the software "update" that knocked out the refill cartridges I was using I was getting rather frustrated with the poor paper feed and scanning issues. So when the cartridges stopped working I asked a friend and he recommended this one. We have no real need to print colour documents at home - if I did, I'd do it at work or use a photo printing service. So this does the job perfectly - both trouble free printing and scanning. My friend does an average amount of printing and he says he's still got the original cartridge from when it was new after a year. So look no further friends, ditch your inkjet and go laser!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellement mono laser 2 in 1 printer I bought this printer after reading a few reviews here and there and I was not disappointed! The setup was fairly easy (although I had a usb cable that is never included by default with the printer). Printing is really fast. The first time I thought it was printing a blank page but that was just how fast it was! The scan over wifi is also well do. Just press the button on the printer and it pop us on your pc automatically. The only drawback I could see if the size. It's a bit bulky but hey, it's a printer and a scanner after all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal got the home This does everything I require from a printer for home use, I don't use the printer everyday so it's great when I just want to quickly print a page off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to setup, cheap to run and performs brilliantly I wanted a wireless all-in-one laser printer to replace my ink jet printer, which cost a fortune to keep replacing the cartridges. I wasn't bothered about colour - just wanted something fast, reliable, cheap to run and easy to set up. This printer fits the bill in ever respect. I can honestly say that this is the best printer I have ever bought - and I've bought a few !!!
