Rated 5 out of 5 by from Latest Brother machine in 20 years I have pretty much stayed with a Brother product for the last 20+ years in my office (tax & accounting). The prior machine wan an 8850 purchased in early 2017. It made it through this year's tax season but finally bit the dust over the summer. I had purchased the 8900 last year as soon as it became available again. It was a seamless transition. I am still getting used to the changed menu features but I find it to be much more quiet and still very fast in printing. It is also my go-to machine involving any form of 2-sided copying. I don't know much about the larger machines available, but this range has worked very well for me in a small office (about 80 reams of paper a year) and for personal use without being overly complicated.

Even though I print 99% of the time in black & white, the color toners keep going down. Why? Taking the printer alone, this would be 5 stars. When you consider the total cost of ownership, it is just average.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My MFC L8900CDW replaced a 13-year-old 9840CDW I have had wonderful success with Brother printers. I recently purchased a Brother MFC L8900CDW to replace a Brother MFC 9840CDW that I purchased in December 2010. The older printer kept chugging along, but I replaced it because the 9840's software no longer was compatible with Windows 11 and MacOS Sonoma 14.0. I was thrilled with the 9840's performance, and if the L8900CDW is as good, it probably will outlast me.

Have had brother printers my whole career and they are pure quality. Wish I could give 5 stars, just not sure how to even get ahold of them like most other companies these days but want awesome get the Brother!!
