Ratings and Reviews

Customer reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value A3 printer Great you can photocopy and scan A3 documents in total as the window is A3 size. Some A3 printers have an A4 window so you have to scan twice and it stitches it. Often they don't mention this in the blurb! Only problem we had was networking it. It was hard to know what settings we needed. It would have been easier if we wired it in but we were using a system which plugs into the electrics and passes the signal through there. It took ages to set up the network and then it went down again. Not sure if that was the printer's fault or the networking equpment though the printer settings were very difficult to get correct. Had to call in IT expert in the end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't think too long about it, buy it.. I originally got one of these for use at home and was so impressed that we bought one for the office too. The print speeds are high & costs are low, when you use a properly weighted coated paper the results of the printouts are fantastic. Colours are vibrant and contrary to some reviews the black are deep enough, I would imagine that the reviews were using cheap paper!! I haven't tried printing any photos yet, but for CAD drawings, notices and A3 sized brochures the results were superb. ANother thing that Brother should be commended on is the ease of set up, honestly 3 minutes tops. Installation on both PC and Mac was effortless too, all using an existing wireless network. I've even printed a PDF from my iPhone which was a first. Its so good that now my Mother has bought one to replace her aging scanner & A4 printer with an all in one thats compact and VERY easy to set up and use. I have recommended this to several friends / work colleagues due to the amazing deals floating around at the moment. So go ahead and get one, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value all round A3 colour printer We are impressed with this Brother A3 multi functional colour printer/copier/scanner/fax. In the 2 months we have had the machine, we have used all the functions and are generally very satisfied with the results. For a small office, the machine was inexpensive to purchase, it provides everything you need in one machine. It is easy to use and the cartridges are not expensive to replace. The only downsides we have found are quite poor results on colour prints in the default setting (unless you select "Best" quality each time) and the paper output tray seems rather flimsy. Other than that, a great machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good compact colour A3 and A4 wireless printer. The number of printers on the market can be quite overwhelming. I wanted a colour printer which I could also use as a photocopier and would scan, had a fax option and which could be used to print from SSDs. The machine also had to have wireless connectivity and be very compact in size despite being able to copy and print to A3 size. Thjis printer offered all of this with excellent print quality. I am disappointed by the speed which I thought would be faster. I also find the tray which holds printed copies rather flimsy and small. The on screen instructions are very helpful but it hasn't helped me to replace the 2nd tray; I'm too nervous to force it back into place in case I break it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good deal I was unsure to buy this printer as there are many bad reviews around on bad printing quality, not being able to print double side margin-free, etc. My main reason to buy it is that I needed a standard quality printer with scan, wireless and A3 format, which was also smaller enough to be kept on a desk. I'm not a pro and don't need to print a lot of pages as I use it at home. Print quality is good for standard colour documents and the printer has worked well so far and I'm happy about the printing results... The only question is now the durability of ink and of the printer itself... Will see...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Iv had better This printer is great and printing basic documents, however when it comes to documents you send to customers, the quality is not that good. The black is quite grey and the picture quality is poor. The printer also has hissy fits every now and then, when it just decides to not print and will continuously tell you that there is a paper jam, when there isn't. We also had to clean the printer heads after only having it for a week. However it is a lot easier that there are 2 trays and is very useful when printing and the ink does last quite a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great all-rounder I am really happy this product. The printer scans and prints A3, without having to change the paper because it has 2 drawers; this is highly unusual for a printer of this price. It also works well as a copier. The photo quality printing is not excellent, but for single machine to do everything that it does, and with no real problems, its fantastic for this price.
