Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is easy to use I am not very good with technology. It's early days but I am getting my head round this printer very well and have even downloaded and printed something from my mobile. The top paper feed in for scanning/printing is very handy, and being able to scan straight into an email is brilliant. Very reasonably priced too. A friend set it up and it seemed that was straightforward too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Printer To Replace Old Brother MFC Purchased the printer to replace an aging MFC 5840CN and apart from not having two paper trays it seems a better printer in all other apsects. Prints surprisingly quickly and the quality of print is perfectly acceptable for the majority of documents I prepare. Works well with Control Centre 4 which makes all tasks once set up easy to execute. Would recommend the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MFCJ480DW For home use this printer is good value for money. If you do a lot of printing then you may find that the print speed is slow and a bit noisy by today's standards but the quality is good and it is easy to use and to set up. Wi-fi and double-sided printing were key features for me along with the need to scan documents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job plus easy install I was impressed by the on screen prompts during the installation process which took the guesswork out of the process. The printer works at a good speed and the limited printing I have done has brought good results. I was converted to Brother mfc's some time ago and have never regretted the move.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WiFi & double sided printing Installation very quick, dialogue box walks through process. Reasonable speed and quality of print good. WiFi works well for shared PC's. 2 page copying & scanning work very well. Too soon to say what ink use is like but quality good. Would recommend as value for money and ease of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good budget printer Easy to set up on the wireless network. Print quality very dependent on paper quality, would recommend a good quality coated paper. Coated paper also reduces ink consumption. It doesn't have to be photo quality paper. A bit slow relative to a laser, but colour rendition good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Printer to Replace Epson Simple to work through the set up and now it's done I'm pleased with the results achieved. The document feeder makes it easier to copy and scan. Replacement inks 40% cheaper than Epsons which is great as I like to use actual Brother cartridges. A good overall machine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all round printer. I bought the MFC-J480DW for use in my home office. I found it very easy to set up and connect to Wi-Fi. It prints quickly and the quality of print is fine for the letters and forms that I print on a daily basis. A good all round machine.
