Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product is so user friendly I bought this printer from IJTDIRECT and paid for just six sets of inks.. It is extremely economical and works in a steady and precise way, which is an improvement on most printers thatr i have had over the years. I have not quite sussed out all the things that can be done and so far, printing 6 x 4 photos has illuded me . anyway it is a good solid machine and i am glad i bought it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product with A3 printing is so useful. Separate inks keep costs down for separate text and graphics print runs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT BAD MFC-5890CN the printer isnt bad i like being able to print a3 and was at the right price in the sale. the cartridge tray for the paper is a pain as you have to take out the whole thing to change the paper which means finding a large sspace to put it down on. the photo printing is ok but it is a bit slow and you have to wait when copying more than 1 page as you can load the next page befor its ready as its wering and clicking in between times. i was disapointed you cant scan at a3 only a4 size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brother all-in-one The build quality of this item is very poor. It often jams, thus spoiling a noticeable amount of paper. I bought the machine specifically for use as a printer/scanner I did not want fax etc. that is not your problem, of course. But i did expect that there would not be regular jamming. And yes, I do use quality paper, but it still jams regularly. I'm afriad I would not recommend this machine to anyone else. It is easilyu the worst printer I have ever used

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good printer overall, but with small capacity paper tray This printer has been very reliable and the print quality is good. The only two drawbacks are: 1. The paper tray has a small capacity to hold paper, which in an office environment means that the paper has to be changed frequently. 2. The print speed for copying is slow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the box ! Great machine, not too bad a footprint for an A3, fast scanner, easy to set up and load ink. Seems to have plenty of standard features which I have yet to put into practice, but for an office A4 printer for the occasional A3 print seems to be another good Brother machine

I would definitely recommend this printer and pleased I bought it and the inks are so cheap

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good buy A good compromise printer for the small office, provides many functions but maintains reasonable speed and good quality at excellent value. IJT and BRother are both excellent to deal with

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good all-in-one This machine is easy to set and use. It would be helpful if it was easier to put in a single sheet of paper, such as a different colour or letterhead, without having to take out the paper tray.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from for price, quality, MFC 5890CN we already have a number of Brother Printers, and this one adds speed and quality to the office.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as listed Seems to be a simple set up and good quality Used predominantly as a scanner with sheet feed and is quick and easy to use via the provided software

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Here's my brother Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. It produces printouts of very good quality for the price. It worked first time via USB but was tricky to set up on my home network. All the family now have access to the printer without difficulty. Colour printouts are OK but monochrome is a little muddy and not true black. I do not wholly trust the paper tray which feels a bit flimsy but does accept different paper sizes without difficulty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother MFC-5890CN A printer which produces good quality A3 photographs and charts. It has a fax machine too, which I have not tried. The scanner is good and comes with the excellent Paperport software. It also does a good job of standalone photo printing. It is a network printer, although not wireless; I see this as no great disadvantage, particularly as it all set up very easily. It is very well priced for the number of features. As someone interested in family history, I find it an excellent buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Son is happy too! I was particularly impressed with the network faciltiy as I have never had this luxery before. A simple cable plug in to the wifi box (or network box) and all my pcs can print to it. The speed is great! Picture clarity is perfect as my son always complained witht the last prinrer that his mates had better pictures than him. Not any more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up I was concerned that it would prove difficult to set it up on my network but it was simplicity itself. I was up and printing in minutes. Good quality and A3 too! Excellent value...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good... Bought this printer a couple of weeks ago - mainly for printing A3 CAD drawings. Set-up was easy - installed software & plugged into network router. Using plain A3 paper at 'normal' quality setting and the output is great (and fast) - not quite as sharp as the laser but fine for issuing to clients etc (and it's in colour!). Not tried any other features so can't comment, but it's worth the money just to have A3 printing. The fax/copy/scan features are just a bonus for me, and its pretty much the same size as my other A4 multifunctional printer so fits in fine. Only downside so far is no automatic duplex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect printer for the type of printing i need I bought this printer for the sole purpose of being able to print on transparency films. Many brands cannot seem to do this type of printing , so i came across this printer which is superb value for money and is also an a3 printer which makes the price even better! Very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this printer to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer, a pleasure to use I have owned 4 other makes of printer over the years. This one from Brother is quite honestly the best. The control buttons are the easiest and quickest of any previous printer, the scanning facility is particularly quick and simple. I don't need to print A3, but could do so if wished, but I have printed addresses on every size of envelope, printed my address logo with its picture on every size of paper product from post cards to A4 without any problems. It may be irrelevant to this review to mention that I have a Brother combination microwave which is still working brilliantly after nearly 30 years, so I know they manufacture things which last!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features With the ability to print A3 paper, plus being able to use various different memory cards, with a very precise and clear print, this is a very good buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MFC-5890CN I was in particular looking to purchase an A3 printer and to still be able to scan document and revert easily back to A4 paper when required. I use this for both personal and business use and have found the product to be great value for money, the ink lasts a considerable amount of time and it has performed as I would expect a Brother product to. I have previously had Brother products and find that they do exactly what you would require.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up....but Very easy to use whether for printing, scanning or copying. However black and white copying is pretty slow. Whilst the printer is sold as not being wireless, it would have helpful if the manual had stated that it could be wireless if you connect the network cable into your wireless router. Mine now works fine wireless except for scanning which needs to be hard wired. Apart from that I am very pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the box Bought the Brother MFC ink jet machine about 3 months ago. It seems to be a very good all round multi functional machine and so far I am very impressed with it. It does everything you would expect and is fast, quiet and so far reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does such a lot We bought this printer because we had to buy a new computer and this one was the most reasonable on the compatible printers list. It is rather large for a home printer, but a good size for an office or for someone working from home. It certainly meets all requirements from just printing to scanning, copying, printing photographs and faxing, although we haven't used this facility as yet. As an ex office worker I would recommend this item, as it is very easy to use and does a really good job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multi functional device I bought this as a multi document scanner / A3 printer and was pleased with results as I am able to use either scan to file/e-mail, or image etc via buttons on the MFC 5890CN or via Control Centre 3 app producing excellent images. Also with the abillity to connect to my home network it has become an asset as I can scan or print from either of my PC's or laptops.
