Ratings and Reviews

Customer reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from feature-packed and great design but a little flimsy This printer looks great and is compact and practical. Sideways printing (allowing A3 printing) is quite fast and pretty accurate. I love the auto-duplex printing and the excellent compatibility with smart phones and tablets through the "i-print and scan" software. The pull-out document tray is quite flimsy and unlikely to survive the inevitable attacks by our youngest pet cat, unlike our old Brother MFC 5840 which took a pounding without breaking. Ink cartridges are expensive - I'd rather pay more for the printer and MUCH less for the ink! Still, all in all, a very clever design, packed full of useful features. I do not regret this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DCP-J4110DW Really impressed. Wanted an A3 printer for printing models onto card this does the job. I use Draft sight for my own designs and as expected it worked. Setup wireless connection for all our devices using the brother app. Windows phone 7 and 8 easy. Kindle fire HD easy One laptop using wireless setup easy One PC easy. A4 photo really good. Printed onto some 220 grm photo paper using the A3 slot managed the print with no problems unlike other A4 printers that cannot cope withe the heavy paper. Still looking at all the options that this printer has to offer but on first results very good. It is nice that the colors are separate as it is with all Brother inks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Printer I've ever used!! This printer is by far the worst one I've ever used. From the set-up, it look too many "cleaning" and "test" attempts to get the test prints clear and aligned. From then there were multiple paper jams where the printer was not feeding paper properly, or it would chew the paper up. I tried different quality of paper and the same thing kept happening. Then after a fatal "chewed up" piece of paper, it stopped printing altogether. Screechy horrible noises whenever you try and print and then it just either chews up more paper or it refuses to print anything. Just constant error beeping noises. Only had this printer for one month!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant value This well priced base model does everything I want as a home printer, with single paper tray and no feed to the scaner for faxing etc. I like the fact that it can be connected by usb and left on all the time, and in this mode goes into a deep sleep and does not waste huge amounts of ink every time I turn it on and off as I did with my old printer, yet keeps the heads clean and ready for use with occasional quick wipes.(yet has the facility for network and WiFi connections if I need them in the future) Option for A3 was the deciding factor to buy this and yet smaller than my previous A4 printer. XL ink refills are available as well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother DJP-J4110W I needed a replacement ink jet printer and as I already have a Brother Laser Printer, I decided the DJP-J4110 met all my requirements, one of which was to be able to print from my tablet. Setting up was straightforward and I used the wireless option to connect to my network. I struggled to print from my tablet initially because I tried using Google Cloud Print which did not work. I then received an email from Brother that mentioned the iPrint&Scan app and this worked straight away. I only use the printer if I need colour but I'm very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I expected a lot and I got a lot... a lot, lot more! I have owned a plethora of 'all in one' printers over the years, and this is by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to use. Set up to my wi-fi was a doddle with clear instructions both in the manual and on CD. The printer has so many great features, but for me it's the fact that it just sits there, apparently asleep, and as soon as a print job is sent it simply wakes up, does its business, and then goes back to sleep. Lovely large paper tray (for a home printer anyway) , good quality prints and reasonably priced cartridges, something that was an important factor in chosing this printer. Overall I cannot recommend this printer enough! Well done Brother for producing such a fine product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Machine This all in one printer/scanner/copier/fax is fabulous. I managed to set it up myself without too many problems and as I'm a non-techie silver surfer who usually yells for help that's saying something. Print quality is excellent and the ink is a very good price too. Scanning is a doddle and the joy of it is that it can be used wirelessly so I can use it with both my PC and laptop and no miles of wires all over the place. I just love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from value and quality I appreciate value for money and quality production this printer/scanner has both those elements. as long as you follow the usage instructions and understand the logic behind them it will perform perfectly within the value/quality envelope, if you try to push it however, it might let your expectations down so understand the paper thickness and loading requirements before you shout it is well made with a neat footprint, not the quietest perhaps single sheet loading from the rear paper feed, so what, if its A3 then you want it to go in properly, no hardship really good job Brother, innobella
