Rated 4 out of 5 by from PT-2430PC, Good Quality but is let down by Brother Excellent product, but Brother has let itself down I would have given this an excellent rating but Brother didn't write drivers for the Mac or other OS's. I have worked with Brother kit from electronic typewriters (over 20 years ago),printers etc to some of the latest products, as soon as you see the Brother name you know it is solid equipment, even with it's sewing machines quality is embedded. I dont understand why Brother does this sort of thing, brilliant equipment then falls short by drivers. Overall great product, but somebody poke a stick at Brother and get them to go a few more millimeters and see an extra market beyond Microsoft. Good effort Brother!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Perfect I use my machine in a very limited way, using it only for producing signs, symbols and scripts to go on the model railway locos, wagons etc that i build from scratch or kits. i work on the scale of 16mm to one foot and find that by using the 18mm and 24 mm tapes i get very satisfactory results. The one down side is that one cannot produce full colour items. That aside, i like the scaleable aspects of the finished item, the fact i can print top to bottom as well as the convential side to side, and also find that the tapes are easy to apply and in my case repostion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PT-2430PC used with Apple Excellent desktop label printer, found Mac driver on Japanese Apple site so I can use it with my MacBookPro. Much more economical to use than my previous hand-held label printer as in the Auto function the machine cuts the tape with little waste. I would suggest using the Editing software rather than just plugging it in and getting going as there is so much more variety in the designs you can use. I am so pleased to have upgraded to this machine and will soon need new tapes! Thoroughly recommended as it is a joy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally Good, Watch for Tape Waste This is one of very few label printers which has label tapes available in various types, including laminated, which is what I needed. The only drawback is that the default settings are very wasteful on label tape, ejecting about 20mm of wasted tape for every label. It is a hassle to stop the printer/application from doing this. Label tape is quite expensive, so you want to make sure that you correct this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother USB Label Printer Very pleased with this little box which prints very good quality labels and is connected to my PC by USB. I also own a hand-held Brother labeller which, although very portable, does not have the huge range of options that this machine provides. I can add images, symbols and a wide variety of text fonts. The software is fairly straightforward and my only regret is not buying one last year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wasted Tape Bought this machine as it is compatible with Megger PAT420 tester. The problem is that it wastes as much tape as you print ie 4cm of tape per label. Not sure if this is due to Brother of the software in the PAT tester but it makes it an expensive label .I am sure it is only a software tweak but judging by the forums this is not available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PT-2430PC Great little machine for printing all sorts of labels for around the house and particulary in the office (The office is why I really purchased) - I'ts makes things look so professional - There is a good selection of 'ready made' templates to download which again - gives that professional look to the labels

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little Printer but let down by software I have many years of experience with this type and make of printer in a work environment, but when extracting print data from a spreadsheet which it is supposed to be compatible with, it adds carriage return and adds fields into the print layout. But when you understand its errors it does a fine job
