Case Study: MPM

British-based natural pet food producer, MPM, has a worldwide customer base spanning the USA, Australia and Asia Pacific. With international expansion gaining momentum, it turned to Brother’s OmniJoin as an effective way to keep the lines of communication open to support its growth.

For them, maintaining face-to-face communication with people in faraway places was a priority. The new online meeting technology not only provides this service, but has cut business international travel costs by £40K a year and improved efficiency by dramatically reducing email traffic.

“As a rapidly expanding business, we quickly outgrew Skype. We realised that we needed something more robust with more features to really help us communicate with our global team, and to easily present and review documents. However, we didn’t want to spend a lot upfront on hardware or kitting out a dedicated teleconferencing suite”, explained Managing Director, Julian Bambridge.

“We used to have UK management meetings every other month, as well as quarterly trips to the USA and Australia. Now the majority of this takes places over OmniJoin. If anything, it's made us more productive as we have all of the documents at our fingertips, rather than relying on print outs in meetings. Plus we can arrange meetings in minutes rather than booking flights and accommodation."

After a short period of adjustment, MPM’s workforce now use the technology as a part of their everyday communications.
