Brother, a specialist in printing and document management for more than 115 years, is one of the sponsors of the 47th edition of the WorldSkills World Trade competition, which will take place this year in Lyon, from 10 to 15 September.
The world-renowned WorldSkills competition aims to highlight the skills of young talents in many technical and craft trades, from baking to plumbing, electricians and even jewellery making.
This year, 1400 competitors under the age of 23 from more than 70 countries will gather in Lyon to compete in 59 trades.
Brother, supplier of the electrical installation test
Brother will supply P-touch PT-E560BTVP labellers to competitors in the electrical installation event. After receiving their competition subject, they will have to demonstrate technical mastery and speed of execution to present a completed project to the group of experts responsible for evaluating the renderings.
Designed for electrical and network installation professionals, the P-touch PT-E560BTVP enables durable, industry-standard labels to be printed on demand. Its many features make it a great ally for participants in the WorldSkills competition:
- Large, backlit display allows you to preview labels before printing
- Bluetooth connection with the flexibility to connect to a PC, smartphone or tablet and print using Brother Pro Label Tool and P-touch editor software
- Durable label printing up to 24mm wide
- Possible integration of QR codes, barcodes or logos
- 6 “shortcut” keys that facilitate the creation of labels for cables, blocks, patch bays, heat-shrink tubing or even flag labels
Teams from Brother France, and also from the brand’s European and Japanese headquarters, will be present to provide support and technical support to competitors.
“Brother is proud to contribute to the success of this competition by offering state-of-the-art tools adapted to the needs of young electricians and facilitating their daily work. Through this event, Brother reaffirms its commitment to excellence and innovation by supporting young talents in the promotion of technical professions and the quest for professional recognition”, comments Marie BRUNO, Product Manager labelling at Brother France.
