Very versatile machine on its own but when connected to a PC its out of this world. Great print quality over all sizes and fonts. Shame it can't sing and dance but I'll still give it 10 out of10.

Excellent product, expensive tape cassettes
The P-touch label printer is excellent because it is easy to use, produces high-quality labels and is versatile (in terms of it being easy to include special symbols and accented letters).
I just got this machine so I am not able to comment on the durability of the labels.
I was looking for labels that do not fade easily and that are waterproof. So far, these are doing well, but I need more time to evaluate that aspect.
The tape cassettes are extremely expensive.
The system default is for large blank margins on either side of your print - this is totally unnecessary and does nothing except boost Brother's revenue.
The margin size can be changed to small but then defaults back to large for the next label.
That needs to be changed; everything else is very good.

A must have
Amazing spec, and great value for money. With a huge range of tapes, this printer will give you anything you want from a label printer. The computer interface is easy to use and with internet connectivity, has many extra features.

Excellent product with good features.
Really nice printer. first off the bad points:
1. Would be nice to have a 'catcher' for the labels to fall into.
2. Battery life is about 2 months - so better to use plug.
3. Seems a shame to waste the initial label portion.
The good points:
1. Very nice, high quality labels.
2. Great selection of labels.
3. Very programmable.
4. Software is first class.
5. Always something to learn.
Really nice printer, that is complement to other devices.

Brother p-touch 2730
I bought this model for several reasons
Firstly due to the broad range of tapes it takes
Secondly due to PC connectivity
And finally due to proper qwerty keyboard.
Whilst you cant touch type on the keyboard, you need quite firm and slow presses of the keys, its still much better than ABC style.
The flexibility of the type of labels was pleasently surprising and exceeded what i was expecting, so is turning out to be even more useful than expected.
The hard case is real bonus and wouldn't do without this as its well thought out design really adds to the overall ease of use and functioanlity.
Overall i am very pleased with this, and would highly recomend to others
