What is EPS Release 2? EPS Release 2 is the next stage of the changeover from paper-based prescriptions to electronic generated prescriptions. Its aim is to make the processing of repeat prescriptions more efficient.
How does it work? Patients will be able to nominate a pharmacy to which GPs will directly send their prescription electronically. Pharmacies will then print out and prepare the prescription ready for patients to collect.
