Frequently asked questions

Brother is working towards a circular  economy. By returning your ink, toner and labelling cartridges to Brother we can take responsibility for our own products and remanufacture or recycle them, saving precious resources from going to landfill.
Simply use one of our recycling services to return your inkjet cartridges to Brother. We have 2 options depending on how many cartridges you have:
1. If you have up to 4 cartridges, request one of our free-post envelopes using our online form. Once full, simply post through a post box or drop off at the post office.
2. Order a free-post bulk box suitable for around 20 cartridges, and drop off at the post office when full.
Our website only offers one envelope per request, because we don't want excess plastic ending up in landfill. Your recycling envelope will hold around 5 ink cartridges. In the meantime, you can email recycle@brother.eu to request multiple envelopes. Alternatively, you can use our website to order a bulk box to return multiple cartridges.
Customers from all over Europe recycle their empty cartridges with Brother. We use a centralised system, based in The Netherlands, and a pan-European postal network. This means that all of the toner cartridges arrive in one shipment, rather than in individual parcels, which greatly reduces transport emissions.
Yes, there is no need to take your inkjet return envelopes into a post office. Simply post through your local post box!
