A First Class Product
I am now on my third Brother printer in this range and I wouldn't purchase any other. In my business as an architect It offers excellent flexibility with A4 facility for letters and such like and A3 facility fof drawings and visual presentations. Print quality is excellent. The seperate paper cartridges are a great feature so time cosuming changes of paper are not necessary. I don't use the Fax facility very much but the scanning facility is in use daily.
I work alone and from home but the Brother MFC 6890CDW is my perfect business partner.

Good machine with some reservations
I spent a few months studying the features of various A3 all-in-ones most of which were made by Brother. I found it complicated to work out the best features from the specifications supplied. For instance because I'm an artist I needed an A3 scanner but some machines only scanned at A4 size with a stitch facility. This was not always made obvious within the specs. I also needed to print on art quality paper which is quite heavy. so really needed a flat printer (i.e. the paper didn't have to go over a roller or platten). I couldn't find one like that but did note that this one I finally bought could be set to thick paper printing.. Unfortunately the paper I wanted to use was too thick.

These printers still have the frustrating fault of jamming frequently and picking up several pages at once especially when printing A£ size recently my wife used half a ream of A£ just to print 5 news letters cosisting of two pages each. due to the printer picking up several pages at once and inking all of the excess pages, the printer will also not work on single A£ paper so you cannot empty the tray and put a single in as it says no paper these issues need to be fixed as it spoils what is primary a good idea and a good printer I also think there is now a lesser need for faxes on a land line
now we have e faxes and e-mails
